About Us

Thinking Cap Inc. is a company founded in 2001, and our offices are located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are experts in the communication arts. We understand the web because we have been helping to build it since 1994.

The impression Thinking Cap hopes to make with our work is that we use both hemispheres of our brain. The left side provides our functional excellence - our clean, easy to use interfaces. The right is our creative side - demonstrated in our innovative approaches and our aversion to lazy expressions and clichés.

We have the experience and talent to make business websites the best in their field. Our #1 goal is the satisfaction of our customers, and their customers too.

Who We Are

Thinking Cap are a small, talented team of web strategy and design experts from the Greater Vancouver area. Our approach is to work hard for our clients, give them honest advice and top value, and to never hold back on our expertise.

Since the early 1990s, company founder & president Michael Klassen has produced a string of successful new media and Internet projects. His first computer multimedia production, entitled Zulu Retroactive, paid homage to Vancouver New Wave era bands Pointed Sticks and the Young Canadians. It served as a point of sale kiosk promoting CDs in a record store.

Among his first websites were those for the annual Vancouver International Film Festival. The stylish interfaces and bountiful film notes earned VIFF.org Netscape's coveted Cool Site of the Day designation.

From 1995 - 2000, Michael was a producer/game designer at Electronic Arts Canada assigned to EA Sports NBA Live game series for the Sony Playstation. Michael and a team of the game industry's best turned "Live" into the world's most successful basketball videogame franchise, with sales of six million copies!

During a fortuitous occasion at the 1999 E3 Game Convention in Los Angeles, Michael provided Steven Spielberg and his family with a private sneak preview of NBA Live code.

Since 2000 Michael has made the internet his platform for innovation and creativity. Visit Vancouver Blogger Michael Klassen.
